The Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel went well!
Blessed be the Lord!
We give thanks to God for this time spent in community
and with our neighbors, on this mountain of the Mount of Olives: Monsignor Nicolas, Father Luciano of the “Silent Workers of the Cross”, the Benedictine Sisters and the other religious communities around us.
Many thanks to all those who thought of us from near and far, to all those who prayed for us! Special thanks to all those who honored our feast with their presence!
A special thanks to Monsignor Nicola Di Ponzio, of the Apostolic Delegation in Jerusalem, who gave us the joy of presiding over the Eucharist. After Mass, he generously gave us his time for a rich, fraternal meeting. It was a powerful moment, both spiritual and fraternal, as we talked about the situation of peace in our region and all over the world
May the Virgin of Carmel continue to accompany us on our journey!
Let us remain in prayerful communion with Mary, Our Mother!
To conclude, here is a little poem to Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Queen of Carmel, O Virgin so fair, Radiant flower blooming in life’s care, Mother of Christ, Heaven’s bright light, You wrap us gently in your cloak of white.
Trusting children, to you we draw near, With all our burdens, our hopes, and our fear. Take all our joy, receive all our pain, Turn tears to pearls, like soft summer rain.
Morning Star, shine through the night, Burn in our darkness with endless light. In every storm, be our steady shore, Lead us to love that endures evermore.
Fount of all grace, vine full of peace, Your blessed fruit shall never cease. Grant us the touch of your motherly hand, And keep our souls where your mercies stand.
Our Lady of the holy Mount above, With heart so pure, so humble in love, Plead with your Son, in His radiant glory, To fill our lives with treasures holy.
Pray for this land your heart holds dear, For Jerusalem, and the wounds still near. May peace descend, gentle and true, And forever dwell where hope breaks through.
